Control System Programmer - Job Description

 

Westbury National Show Systems Ltd., a leader in pro audio and AV systems design and integration, requires a Control System Programmer to work in their Design & Engineering Department.

 

The focus of this position is the integration and automation of Audio and Video systems in commercial, hospitality, themed entertainment, performing arts and business office environments.  Candidates will have a technical understanding of A/V systems and their use, including audio conferencing and video teleconferencing. 

Your role will see you working closely with the Director of Design & Engineering, the sales team, project managers and other members of the design department.  This role requires some travel and fieldwork for system implementation and testing. 

The office is located in western Scarborough; casual dress environment.

 Qualifications:

  • Understanding of professional sound systems & audio equipment, video projection & display systems, audio and video conferencing technologies as well as control systems & IP based networks.
  • Competency in control system programming including: Crestron, AMX and Visual Basic.  Manufacturer training and certification a definite asset.
  • MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Good oral and written communication in English.
  • Installation or other related practical experience an asset.
  • Additional manufacturer training a definite asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD 2004 an asset.
